Steven Salmony, AWAREness Campaign on the Human Population
Moderating team: Though many meetings are held in the United Nations, Steven feels that the three main challenges facing humanity go unchecked. These challenges are over-consumption, over-expansion of the world’s economy and a booming population.

Yes, of course, the United Nations has lots of meetings which are the organization's raison d'etre, I suppose. All those many meetings are necessary; but at these meetings representatives of the human community are repetitiously failing to effectively sustain the concentration of humankind's vast mental powers with regard to the three looming, interlocking, global challenges: 1) unrestrained per-human over-consumption of scarce resources; 2) unbridled and seemingly endless expansion of the human-made world economy in a finite world; and 3) unchecked propagation of the human species on this tiny planet.
Thanks for carefully considering and rigorously examining certain challenges potentially posed to humanity by the unregulated increase of certain distinctly human over-growth activities now overspreading the surface of the wondrous planetary home God has blessed us to inhabit. |
