I was surprised to see three major issues not mentioned:

1. Growing global freshwater shortages
2. Marine resource overploitation and the little progress made in marine and freshwater conservation compared to the case with terrestrial conservation
3. The increasing threat posed by exotic invasive species

I was expected to see something on the challenge and opportunity presented by the imperative to restore degraded ecosystems around the world
