Future directions for biodiversity action in Europe overseas : outcomes of the Review of the Implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity, December 2010

This publication provides an in-depth review of the status of implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). This has been achieved by identifying the current status of the various legal and policy instruments, strategies, action plans and institutional frameworks for biodiversity conservation in the EU overseas entities; noting the extent to which these instruments have been and are being implemented; and identifying the main lessons learned and some of the best practices of biodiversity conservation in the overseas entities.
