Be fair to Bangladesh

IUCN's Dr Ainun Nishat, Country Representative for Bangladesh sets out his country's hopes for the agreement that is due to come out of the UNFCCC meeting in Copenhagen this December.

He says Bangladesh wants to see a legally-binding document which includes measures to adapt to climate change, not just mitigation targets. Developing countries such as Bangladesh are not responsible for most of the carbon in the atmosphere, he says, but nevertheless pay the highest price in terms of coping with the effects of climate change.
