Climate change: The ministers in charge for Environment prepare After 2012

The African Ministerial conference on Climate change for after 2012, was held in Alger from November 19th to 20th, 2008. It was preceded by a meeting of experts and African focal points, organized in Alger from November 16th to 18th, 2008.

These two events mark the preparation of the negotiations in progress, which must lead to the establishment of a new framework agreement on climate change during the next summit planned in Copenhagen in Denmark in 2009 in view of the after 2012. Several international organizations partners of Africa were also present: UNO, UNCCC, UNPE, WEF, UNCCD, WMO, UNDP, AU, AEC, CBD, FAO, OSS, the World Bank and IEPF.
