06 April 2012 | Article

A series of test of Climate Proofing frameworks and Toolkit for Planning and Monitoring and Evaluation of Climate Change Adaptation Capacities (TOP-SECACC) was conducted from March 12th to 17th, 2012 by the IUCN climate change unit of Koudougou and Tenado in the Central West Region of Burkina Faso

Organized under the project “Integration of climate change adaptation into poverty reduction policies in West Africa”, this mission made it possible to pass the planning documents through the lens of two aforementioned frameworks.

The tests focused on the regional development and municipal development plan of the Tenado Council. Regionally, members of the Regional Council were involved at council level, municipal councilors and technical services of the environment and agriculture.

These tests will continue in the other two intervention sites of the project namely in the Central-North (Kaya) and Central East (Tenkodogo) Regions.
