Tinkisso Upper Basin: Key actors plan its integrated management

The local workshop aimed at resulting to the development of a shared vision of integrated management of water resources and related ecosystems in the Tinkisso Upper Basin was held on March 8th, in Dabola in the Republic of Guinea
It brought together key actors including the State, with local administrative officials and decentralized technical services (water, environment, forestry, agriculture, livestock, fisheries, mining, energy, health, land use, etc..); local elected officials, representatives of local authorities and users of water resources (large private and public users, associations, groups, cooperatives, women groups, youths, traditional and religious representatives, NGOs, nature protection associations, resource persons, etc.); schools and environment and sustainable development research centre; and projects and programmes concerned.
Participants brainstormed on the setting up of the tripartite consultation platform and draw up priority action plans based on the watershed approach and implementation means.
