Conservation and fight against poverty: committees for banks protection receive equipments

For the effective start of market gardening in most of the regions, a ceremony of symbolic donation of twelve (12) pumps to the communities of Zékézé, Bèlayerla, Sampéma and mogr-noré was held on December 20th 2008, in Bittou, Burkina Faso in the presence of the mayor of the locality and the Regional Director for agriculture. This action is in line with the accompanying measures subsequent to the needs of the population

To this effect, the PAGEV obtained, for pilot communities in Burkina Faso and Ghana, 21 pumps to improve incomes from market gardening activities. kwame.odame-ababio@iucn.org
