From the Strengthening Voices for Better Choices project, a review of the lessons and experiences of IUCN’s global multi-stakeholder forest governance project in five different languages.
A review of the lessons and experiences of IUCN’s global multi-stakeholder forest governance project, working in 6 tropical forest countries: Brazil, DR Congo, Ghana, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Vietnam and internationally. The articles in this special issue illustrate the changes catalysed by SVBC from its inception in 2005 to its conclusion in July 2009. Working in six tropical forest countries— Brazil, Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Vietnam—and internationally, SVBC sought to test and promote improved governance arrangements engendering sustainable and equitable forest conservation and management.
