At its 69th Meeting, the IUCN Council admitted 29 new members. A diverse and influential group of governmental agencies, national and international non-governmental organizations from Africa, Asia, Europe, Meso & South America, North America and the Caribbean, these newly admitted organizations and/or institutions will share and support the Union’s mission which is to influence, encourage and assist societies throughout the world to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and to ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable.
