China IUCN Work Group

Initiated by IUCN councilor Dr. Ma Keping, Director of the Institute of Botany, CAS, and supported by the IUCN China Liaison Office, an "IUCN Work Group" was established under CNC-DIVERSITAS in June 2010. The first meeting, held on September 13th, 2010, gathered 40 distinguished scientists and conservation practitioners. Most are affiliated with IUCN as members or commission members.
The China IUCN Work Group will organize regular events to facilitate co-operations among IUCN members, promote exchanges between IUCN China Liaison Office and the IUCN Commissions, and Initiate events and projects on biodiversity and environmental conservation with IUCN members and partners.
