- Western Ghats Freshwater Fish - Conservation Strategy and Action Workshop (Kochi, India. 23-34 of August 2013). Organised by the Conservation Research Group . After the success of the pilot initiative on the alien catfish removal from an AZE site in India, there has been a resounding call for a strategy to deal with this and other issues. As a first step the Conservation Research Group, IUCN Freshwater Fish Specialist Group, Indian AZE, FoT12 and Zoo Outreach Organization are putting together a 2-day workshop on looking at such strategies with an aim to implement them in AZE sites within the Western Ghats to begin with.
