IUCN, the International Union for Conservation of Nature

The IUCN Forest Conservation Programme has brought out over 100 publications related to sustainable management and conservation of forests over the last ten years. These include those published under its previous technical and policy series: Conserving Forest Ecosystems, Issues in Forest Conservation and Livelihoods and Landscapes. It also includes those published under its thematic FireFight and Community Involvement in Forest Management projects, those done in collaboration with various IUCN regional offices, the Netherlands Committee for IUCN, WWF and with other partners.
 

Over the last nine years, the FCP has also published 30+ issues of the arborvitæ newsletters and over 10 arborvitæ specials in collaboration with the WWF Forests for Life programme, which it distributes regularly to over 2000 forest sector decision-makers around the world including government officials, non-governmental organizations, forest practitioners, donors and academics.
