Approach to Forest Landscape Restoration

FLR must be collaborative and adaptive.

IUCN takes a facilitative approach to Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR). We work with partners to gather knowledge, develop and package tools, build capacity, and support policy-makers, practitioners, researchers and landowners to restore degraded and deforested lands around the world.

FLR only truly works at the landscape scale, where a mosaic of land uses can be balanced and accommodated - and a mixture of natural benefits produced to meet the needs of the local, regional and global community.  From one approach: multiple benefits.
