Chatham House Illegal Logging Website
The purpose of the site is to provide background information on the key issues in the illegal logging debate, together with news stories, information on events, key documents and links to other relevant websites. This site is maintained by the Energy, Environment and Development Programme of Chatham House in London, with funding from the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DfID).

The Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF) is an innovative partnership of 14 major forest-related international organizations, institutions and convention secretariats. It was established in April 2001, following the recommendation of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).
European Commission FLEGT/FLEG Webpage
This webpage provides information about the European Commission (EC) Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) approach to addressing illegal logging and encouraging sustainable forest management. It contains links to a number of relevant documents and sites including the European Union (EU) FLEGT Action Plan, the EU framework for green public procurement and the synthesis report of the EU Public Consultation on ‘Additional Options to Combat Illegal Logging,’ among others.
European Tropical Forest Research Network (ETFRN)
Established in 1991, the European Tropical Forest Research Network (ETFRN) is a forum for communication between European organisations, researchers, EU institutions and others concerned with (sub-) tropical forest research. The ETFRN Network seeks to promote the involvement of European research expertise towards the conservation and wise use of forests and woodlands in tropical and subtropical countries.

FERN aims to achieve environmental and social justice, focusing on forests and forest peoples’ rights in the policies and practices of the European Union.
FAO Best Practices
The FAO's new Best Practices website serves as a one-stop source of technical information on recommended practices and techniques in food production, rural development, natural resource management and other areas. They also have a specific FAO FLEG website launched in July 2006.
Liberia Forest Initiative (LFI)
The Liberia Forest Initiative (LFI) originated in early-2004 as an initiative led by the US State Department to provide coordinated support to the Liberian forestry sector. It engaged a number of US government agencies, including the US Forest Service, US Agency for International Development and the US Treasury Department, as well as non-governmental organisations such as Conservation International and the Environmental Law Institute. Later in 2004 and 2005, several multilateral organisations, including the World Bank, the European Commission (EC), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Conservation Union (IUCN) joined the initiative, giving the LFI partnership a strong multilateral and multinational character.

This website has been set up to exchange clear, concise and up to date information, including joint North-South civil society position papers, on the Voluntary Partnership Agreement (VPA) negotiations between the European Union (EU) and timber producing countries. The site is a one-stop-shop used by civil society, NGOs, the media, the timber industry and governments involved or interested in these negotiations. Loggingoff.info is co-managed by a group of NGOs from European and timber-producing countries.
TRAFFIC the Wildlife Trade Monitoring Network
TRAFFIC, the wildlife trade monitoring network, works to ensure that trade in wild plants and animals is not a threat to the conservation of nature. TRAFFIC is governed by the TRAFFIC Committee, a steering group composed of members of TRAFFIC’s partner organizations, WWF and IUCN. A central aim of TRAFFIC’s activities is to contribute to the wildlife trade-related priorities of these partners.
