Building Partnerships for Forest Conservation and Management in Russia

The goal of this project was to build the capacity of selected government agencies and civil society organisations to utilise public involvement processes in forest conservation and management decision-making. The project was managed in Russia with very close collaboration with the TBFP team in Canada. CIDA provided financial support to the project, which ran until March 2006.

Wellbeing of Forests Sustainability Assessment

The Wellbeing of Forests brings together 26 indicators of human and ecosystem wellbeing using IUCN's pioneering Sustainability Assessment method. The Wellbeing publication is intended to complement Wellbeing Scores software, which allows users to explore different standards and combinations of what comprises sustainable development. The Wellbeing of Forests hopes to encourage debate amongst forest conservationists and critics and provide them with a platform for exploring the new software, Wellbeing Scores.
