Welcome to the ELC - a new Legal Officer

It is a pleasure to introduce a new member of staff, Legal Officer Lydia Slobodian, who joined the Environmental Law Centre in February.
Originally from Pennsylvania, USA, Lydia has lived and worked on four continents and speaks English and Portuguese. She has a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, and a BA and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge. She previously worked at the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) in Washington, DC on governance of natural resources in a post-conflict context. During law school, she interned at the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL), also in DC, and at the Division of Environmental Law and Conventions (DELC) at UNEP headquarters in Nairobi.
Lydia is a member of the DC Bar Association. She has contributed to publications on transgenerational environmental obligations, international water law, compliance with procedural climate change commitments, and perception and cognition of musical sound.
