The Green Economy is becoming an increasingly popular and widely used term. There are many theories, views, inititatives and expectations associated with this new concept. There also is significant confusion with regards to the real scope and potential of the Green Economy. This guidebook serves as an introduction into this complex topic, providing readers with an overview of some of the key ideas and themes currently animating the Green Economy discourse.

This guidebook is intended to serve as an entry point into the theory underpinning the Green Economy discourse.  It offers an overview of available literature relating to the main topics covered by this emerging theme. The guidebook is structured as an annotated compilation of relevant papers, reports, and articles that can be freely accessed on the internet. It is not intended to serve as a complete bibliography of available literature, but more as an overview of the different concepts and ideas that animate ongoing discussions on the topic of the Green Economy

Congratulations - Enormously Useful
I want to congratulate David Huberman and the IUCN for publishing this enormously useful and timely compendium. I am writing from Cairo, where I am on assignment to assist in the development of a green economy transformation strategy for Egypt. The guidebook will be put to immediate use in that process.

Thank for you this excellent work and important service!
