The Business and Biodiversity Programme is organizing two workshops  and one learning opportunity during the Forum:

6 October, 14:30 - 16:00 - Small companies, Large footprint (workshop 1534). This event will focus on the challenge of mainstreaming biodiversity in small and medium companies, which can have as well large impacts, especially if in large footprint sector such as building materials, garment, agriculture sectors.  

7 October, 14:00 - 18:00 - Designing market-viable ecotourism products (Learning Opportunity 1011). This learning opportunity will give conservation specialists practical information on key elements of the tourism market in order to support the development of commercially successful ecotourism products. 8 October, 11:30 - 13:00 - Independent Scientific Panels: towards informed decision making (Workshop 1517). This event will bring together the three Chairs of the established IUCN Panels (Western Gray Whale Advisory Panel; Mauritania Panel and IUCN-Holcim Panel) to reflect on what are the key challenges and opportunities for using the Panels as a decision making tool.
