Improving methodological skills and capacities in nature conservation practice, advocacy and networking in the region.
As part of the project “Nurturing NGO Capacity to Engage in Biodiversity Conservation in the Eastern Mediterranean”, a workshop was conducted to help improve 26 participating NGOs in nature conservation practices.
The 26 participating NGOs are from 4 countries in the region (Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan). The workshop worked on building an improved version of the preliminary needs assessment that was set and devleoped during proposal preparation. Each beneficiary reflected their technical and advocacy/networking related innovation needs and identified international and regional best practice tools to meet them. This was summarized in a technical capacity development plan that were later discussed among partners at the 3 day regional workshop in Jordan.
