The Alignment of National Action Plans to Combat Desertification in the Arab Countries
On the occasion of the World Day to Combat Desertification, a workshop was held, under the patronage of HE Dr. Rashid Ahmad bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water in the UAE, in Dubai on the 18th June, 2014 to discuss the alignment of national action plans to combat desertification and mitigate the effects of drought in the Arab countries.

Combating Desertification: A Jordanian Commitment
IUCN ROWA prepared a draft for both the UNCCD national report and the CBD national report. Later, IUCN ROWA in cooperation with MoEnv and under the patronage of the Minister of Environment H.E. Taher Shakhshir held a combined inception workshop on 14th August, 2014 in Amman aiming at launching these two consulting studies and engaging the stakeholders in finalizing the national reports.
