Zoos, aquariums and museums attract many visitors every year. In Europe alone about 125 million people visit these places, making them a very useful tool for communicating environmental information and education to the public. In order to shift attitudes toward threats to biological diversity and the environment, the zoo community and the IUCN community are working together to create a platform for networking, information sharing and learning to achieve the extremely important goal of reducing negative impacts to biodiversity.
This session is organized by Parken Zoo, Sweden.
