Collaboration is an innovative way of organizing the actions of various stakeholders to reach a common goal. In this case, the common goal is to achieve sustainable utilization of wildlife resources for the benefit of nature and humans. There is a strong connection between ecosystem management and services, food security and greening the world economy, particularly with issues involving bushmeat. Each actor involved in this issue has its own field of expertise and by sharing this know-how and providing reliable data to decision makers, common challenges can be recognized and objectives can be reached in more efficient ways.
This event is organized by the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation based in Hungary in partnership with the Convention on Biological Diversity Secretariat (CBD) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
