Third Project Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting

The Ecosystems for Life: A Bangladesh-India Initiative Project Advisory Committee (PAC) will be meeting at the Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon on 26 February 2013. The aim of the meeting is to receive progress on the project’s activities and implementation in 2012. The meeting will also provide guidance to the team on the tasks allocated for the year 2013.The meeting will be co-chaired by Ms Aban Marker Kabraji, Regional Director, IUCN Asia, Dr Q. K. Ahmed, co-chair National Advisory Committee (NAC) Bangladesh and Mr Ashok Jaitly, co-chair NAC India. Mr Ganesh Pangare, Head, IUCN Water Programme, Asia, will apprise the PAC on various aspects of the project and facilitate the decision-making.
Ecosystems for Life: A Bangladesh-India Initiative aims to improve integrated management of riverine ecosystems in South Asia through dialogue, research and advocacy efforts. The project, implemented by the IUCN offices in Bangladesh and India with oversight from the regional office in Bangkok, is guided by a group of distinguished people in each country constituting the NACs. The PAC is composed of the Indian and Bangladesh NACs and meets once a year to review and guide the project.
