We share the planet with as many as 13 million different living species. This rich biodiversity provides us with health, wealth, food, fuel and the vital services we depend upon to live. However, biodiversity is in crisis - it is estimated that the current species extinction rate is between 1,000 and 10,000 times higher than it would naturally be. We are part of nature and we have the power to protect or destroy it.
