Last Chance to Save the Saola from Extinction?

Meeting in Laos Urges Prompt Action (Vientiane, 22 August, 2009) Conservation biologists based in four countries gathered for an emergency meeting in Vientiane, Lao PDR, August 19-21, to address the peril of extinction facing one the world’s most enigmatic mammals, the Saola.

NUOL, IUCN Lao further cooperation efforts

The National University of Laos (NUOL) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) signed an agreement in Vientiane yesterday to develop a new programme for undertaking research on environmental and developmental resources.
