Countdown to Congress

 
With one year to go until the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Jeju, Republic of Korea, we focus on preparations for this important event and take the opportunity to remind you to contribute to the Forum, submitting proposals by 15 October 2011.

Jeju photos celebrate one year to Congress

On Friday 2 September, IUCN colleagues and distinguished guests from Jeju, Republic of Korea, the location of the upcoming IUCN World Conservation Congress, inaugurated the Jeju photo exhibition at the IUCN Conservation Centre and celebrated the countdown to Congress. Jeju Island is one of the 28 finalists for the New 7 Wonders of the world.

Call for nominations: Council positions to be elected at 2012 Congress

IUCN's Members and Commission members are called on to participate in the governance of the Union and contribute to the election process for the next IUCN Council 2012-2016.

Information concerning the election of Council members at the IUCN World Conservation Congress, to be held in Jeju, Republic of Korea from 6 to 15 September 2012, has been sent to IUCN Members and Commission members and is also available on the Members' Portal.

Call for Contributions to the Forum

The Call for Contributions for the Forum segment of the 2012 IUCN World Conservation Congress is open! The deadline for contributions is 15 October 2011.

* Please note that in line with the restructuring proposed by the Director General and Deputy Director General, the Constituency Support Group has been renamed and is now the Union Development Group, still consisting of the Membership Unit, Congress Unit and Governance Unit.
