Stepping up support for IUCN Members

IUCN's Membership Unit in the Constituency Support Group has stepped up its work to enhance the services provided to IUCN Members and to provide greater opportunities for networking and the sharing of resources and information. Here, Dr. Enrique Lahmann, Director of the Constituency Support Group, outlines some of the most recent developments and initiatives.

IUCN Members are encouraged to continue uploading information on their own contributions to resolution implementation in the online system on the Members' Portal.

75th Meeting of Council

The 75th meeting of the IUCN Council will get underway in Gland, Switzerland from 18-20 November 2010.

Spanish Members tackle biodiversity loss

IUCN's Spanish National Committee, with the collaboration of Fundación Biodiversidad and Obra Social Caja Madrid, have launched the project "International Year of Biological Diversity", an initiative within the framework of the United Nations International Year of Biodiversity (IYB).

The XIII summit of La Francophonie will take place from 22 to 24 October, in Montreux, Switzerland. IUCN will be represented by a delegation including representatives from the National Committee of Switzerland and the newly formed Committee for Central and West Africa.
