Are you ready? Last Congress reminders:

Get accredited before the start of Congress on 6 September 2012 at 17:30, Korea Standard Time (UTC/GMT +9 hours). Collect your electronic voting/speaking card from the Accreditation desk (opening hours in the A-Z of practical info). Access the Accreditation system now!

Not going to Congress? You can empower another Member to vote on your behalf (proxy votes). To do this, you need to first get accredited.

Come and meet candidates for election to Council at the Members' Lounge on 7 and 8 September, 21:00-21:45. See the schedule for elections.

Motions: With numerous motions being presented to the Members, this rough schedule will help the smooth running of the Assembly.

Online discussion area: Statutory amendments proposed by Council.

Bring your official identification (passport) with you on 5 and 6 September, otherwise you will not be able to access the Congress building or attend the Opening Ceremony.

IUCN Members' Portal: new look - new features!

We are pleased to announce that the Members' portal has been further developed on a new platform.

Your existing login information is valid for the new portal, and can also be used to access other IUCN systems (Congress registration, Motions blog, Forum web-spaces, etc.). You can retrieve your personal account details and change your password via the IUCN Accounts Management system.

Please refer to the online guide for assistance on posting your news and information.

If you will be attending the 2012 IUCN World Conservation Congress in Jeju, please visit the Members' Lounge where the Membership Support Team will be able to show you the portal and help you to familiarize yourself with the new features.

Business at Congress

Business presence at Congress is expected to be unprecedented. Business participation will be centred on the IUCN-WBCSD Business and Economy Pavilion and the Business and Ecosystem Think Tank, an event focusing on real solutions for changing pace on biodiversity and ecosystem services. In addition, over 80 events focusing on themes related to business and biodiversity will take place during the first four days.

Draft Jeju Declaration - revised version

Upon request of the Host State of the 2012 World Conservation Congress and as mentioned in the Memorandum of Understanding between IUCN and the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea and the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the Secretariat and the Host State have worked together on a proposal for a 'Jeju Declaration'.
