Japanese singer IRUKA is pleased to announce today’s release of her new CD We Love You Planet! Echo to our Planet, a song dedicated to IUCN on the 10th anniversary of her service as an IUCN Ambassador.

Triggered by an idea by Masahiko Horie, an IUCN Councillor, this song was produced to further promote IUCN’s vision, mission and its conservation work with a generous financial contribution by Sumitomo Life Insurance Company and support from IUCN’s National Committee of Japan.

“Ten years have passed since I was appointed as an IUCN Goodwill Ambassador. Today, it is my great pleasure to present We Love You Planet! Echo to our Planet in this commemorative year. I hope you will be able to sing it by heart!” says IRUKA.

“IRUKA’s song is really beautiful,” says IUCN Director General, Julia Marton-Lefèvre. “I am sure that through this song she will continue to help us reach out to wider audiences with IUCN’s messages of ‘a just world that values and conserves nature. IUCN is ever grateful to IRUKA for her ongoing support, her creativity and her passion for nature.”
