The Islands Thematic Group provides specialist expertise on terrestrial and marine island ecosystems and conservation, bringing together ecosystem science, protected areas management and socio-cultural contexts relevant to islands, and island experience with implications for larger conservation and sustainability issues in the union, in support of the Islands Initiative.
