The two Taskforces focus on:
- Biofuels (lead by Doris Cellarius and hosted with SEAPRISE), and
- REDD and Indigenous Peoples (lead by Simone Lovera and hosted by TGER).
Two Specialist Groups have been established as formal collaborative relationships with other IUCN Commissions;
- CEESP and Commission on Environmental Law (CEL) joint Specialist Group on Indigenous Peoples, Customary & Environmental Laws and Human Rights (SPICEH)
- CEESP and Species Survival Commission (SSC) joint Sustainable Use and Livelihoods (SULi) Specialist Group.
In addition, a Youth and Intergenerational Partnership Group focuses on the development a global youth network together with other IUCN Commission Young Professional Groups, and fostering greater opportunities for intergenerational partnerships with CEESP and IUCN.
