ORO CEESP Focal Point

Ms. Luisa Tagicakibau

Luisa Tagicakibau began her career in conservation when she joined IUCN’s Oceania Regional Office (ORO) as a volunteer in 2007. She was one of four staff that started the IUCN ORO in the earlier days of its establishment.

During her time at IUCN ORO, she had undertaken various programme support and administrative roles working under the Regional Programme Coordination unit, Water and Nature Initiative Project, as the Executive Officer to the Regional Director and recently taking up the role of Team Leader for the Administrative component of CEPF’s investment program in the East Melanesian Islands Hotspot for which ORO functions as the Regional Implementation Team.

Luisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree double majoring in Geography, Population and Demography Studies from the University of the South Pacific in Fiji. She is married with three wonderful children and loves to bird-watch in her spare time.
