IUCN NL launches new website

30 April 2013 | News story

IUCN National Committee of the Netherlands has recently launched its new website (www.iucn.nl). The website uses the same interface as the IUCN Global website, www.iucn.org.

Gemma Span, communications officer at IUCN NL: “By bringing our website in line with the global website, we help portray a consistent image of the union. IUCN Global and the National Committees are increasingly working together. This close bond is now also reflected in our online representation.”

To give visitors a clear overview of the portfolio of IUCN NL, the communications team has chosen to structure the website according to four themes. These four themes combined cover the full range of IUCN NL’s work.
Using a Google maps application, visitors can browse over 400 projects that IUCN NL has managed since 2007. Some of these projects are described in more detail in the Results section. These case studies are used to demonstrate the power of IUCN NL’s projects. The Dutch members also feature prominently on the website. Each member has its own page and their news stories are published on the home page. “As a platform organisation, we are constantly looking for ways to support our members”, Gemma explains. “This new website gives us the opportunity to help spread their message.”
