War-torn Iraq on the road of environmental recovery

In a country devastated by wars during the past three decades, convincing government and international bodies to invest in environmental reconstruction is not an easy job. Nariman Othman, Minister of the Environment of Iraq talks about the challenges and enormous opportunities ached of her country if peace is to be maintained. Becoming an active member of RAMSAR and IUCN is indispensable for Iraq, she says.
